Tragically, it was announced yesterday that actor Kevin Clark, 32, who played Freddy Jones in the movie, died after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle in Chicago on Wednesday morning. He rose to fame as one of the child stars in the comedy who followed Jack Black's Dewey Finn, a failed rocker who becomes the substitute teacher at an elite private school, where he tries to transform his musically-inclined students into a rock band. It was later adapted into a Broadway musical and a Nickelodeon TV series, which ran for three seasons between and While the movie's adult stars, like Jack Black, Sarah Silverman and Joan Cusack have remained firmly on our screens, many of the film's child stars have opted for careers outside of Hollywood. The comedy School of Rock might not have seemed like anything special on paper, but it boasted some pretty impressive talent on both sides of the camera. Not only was the cast led by rising star Jack Black, but Joan Cusack and Sarah Silverman also brought reliably great performances even though neither were typically known for being in "kid movies. All of these elements came together to create a critically- and commercially-successful movie that has remained a beloved all-ages comedy in the 14 years since its release. School of Rock also went on to inspire a TV series and Broadway musical of the same name, as well as occasional rumblings of a sequel. What is the cast up to these days?
